The technology company Microsoft, founded by billionaire Bill Gates, has introduced a controversial unique system through which school-age children will be scanned with a barcode that will allow them to attend classes.

Children in the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) will have their own unique QR code or day pass to access the system after being scanned. Those who do not have this barcode will not be allowed to enter the school grounds.

In addition, children will be required to keep a social distance, wear face masks, and constantly monitor their temperature throughout the day. The controversial system also manages health screenings, CCP (Chinese Communist Party) Virus testing, or COVID-19, and vaccinations.

As reported in several previous articles, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) — a division of the National Institute of Health (NIH) headed by Dr. Anthony Fauci since 1984 — has, for years, provided grants to the EcoHealth Alliance and others to conduct gain-of-function (GoF) research on coronaviruses.

EcoHealth Alliance, in turn, farmed out some of this research to the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV), from whence SARS-CoV-2 appears to have emerged. In a May 11, 2021, Senate hearing, Sen. Rand Paul questioned Fauci on the NIAID’s funding of GoF research on bat coronaviruses, some of which was conducted at the WIV.

A number of doctors and parents have sued the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and its secretary, Xavier Becerra, in a federal court, seeking to prevent the expansion of the emergency use authorization (EUA) of COVID-19 vaccines from including children under 16 years old.

America’s Frontline Doctors—a nonprofit organization—and parents filed a motion for a temporary restraining order in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama on May 19, saying “every plaintiff with children or patients in the target age group stands to be immediately and irreparably harmed by the extension.”

Individuals who have received a COVID-19 vaccine are not able to donate convalescent plasma with the Red Cross.

However, these individuals may be eligible to donate other blood products with the Red Cross including whole blood and platelets if they meet other donation eligibility criteria.

The Red Cross acknowledges that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration did update its guidance regarding convalescent plasma donor eligibility related to those who receive a COVID-19 vaccine. We are evaluating the feasibility and timeline to implement this complex update, alongside the evolving hospital needs for COVID-19 patients. Please know, the Red Cross is committed to building a readily available inventory of convalescent plasma to ensure patients battling COVID-19 have all treatment options available to them.
